The man claimed he found a small shop which was selling in the name of 14 restaurants.

A man recently recounted an unexpected experience on Reddit after ordering pizzas from a gourmet restaurant. Residing near Lingampally Railway Station in Hyderabad, he and his wife decided to order from Olio, a restaurant they believed to be gourmet. To their surprise, Swiggy listed an outlet just 1 km from their residence, which puzzled them as they were certain no such restaurant existed nearby.

“Yesterday me and my wife were feeling like having a good pizza hence ordered two pizzas from olio which is a gourmet. To my surprize swiggy is showing an outlet 1 km away from where I stay. We stay near Lingampally railwaystation and I am pretty sure that there is no Olio near by,” he wrote on Reddit.

Curious and sceptical, he contacted Swiggy’s customer care to inquire about the outlet.

“I called Swiggy customer care immediately and informed them the same and the customer care be like “no Sir, a new outlet is opened”,” he added. Not convinced, the man decided to investigate the matter himself. What he found left him baffled.

“To my surprise, it is a small shop which is selling literally in the name of 14 restaurants,” the user added.

He immediately contacted Swiggy again to report the issue. “Swiggy being Swiggy didn’t cancel the order but delivered it. I made a complain on Swiggy chat and immediately I was refunded the entire amount without any questions.”

The ordeal didn’t end there. Shortly after, the man received a call from the Olio manager, inquiring about the taste of the pizzas. When confronted about the misleading operation, the manager allegedly tried to justify it by claiming he had taken the dealership from all the restaurants.

“I really want to take action against the shop but don’t know how to. They are literally cheating people by keeping all the brand names. Literally, the place has no hygiene,” the user concluded. He also shared photos of the shop and his conversation with Swiggy’s customer care on Reddit.
