Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi to play the antagonist in Ram Charan’s next film to be directed by Shankar

Several media reports have said that Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi may play the villain in director Shankar’s next film ‘Vishwambhara’. He will be seen in a different role in the film which stars Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. Before it was tentatively titled “Vishwambhara”, the film was referred to as “RC 15” as it was Ram Charan’s 15th film. The shooting of the film has begun in Pune with the most expensive song ever in the Telugu film industry.

Suresh Gopi, who will also be seen in a pivotal role in Shankar’s directorial, previously worked with him in the 2015 action-thriller Tamil film ‘I’. Suresh Gopi’s official announcement for ‘Vishwambhara’ is expected soon. From the producers of the film.

The film Vishwambhara is bankrolled by producer Dil Raju and he has already given a big budget to director Shankar. Apart from Kiara and Ram Charan, the film will also feature Anjali, Jayaram, Srikanth, Naveen Chandra and Sunil in pivotal roles.

Vishwambhar is being touted as a political thriller. The story of the film is based on the journey of a government servant to become the Chief Minister of an Indian state. Shankar had earlier directed the film ‘Mudhalvan’ in which a journalist becomes chief minister for a day. Now, Visvambhara is being seen as a sequel to the 1999 Telugu film Mudhavalan, which was later remade in Bollywood as ‘Nayak’ starring Anil Kapoor.

Vishwambhara is also marking the first collaboration of Shankar and Ram Charan. This is also the first time that Ram Charan will be sharing screen space with Kiara Advani.

The Muhurta shot of the film was shot at a big launch event in Hyderabad in September. Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, filmmaker SS Rajamouli and actor Ranveer Singh attended the event on 8 September.

The release date of the pan-India multilingual film is yet to be announced by the makers.
