Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora’s breakup rumours made headlines last year too.

Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor recently attended an event but did not sit with each other or talk to one another.

Malaika Arora has opened up about reading nasty comments about herself on social media. The diva, who has also been making headlines because of her breakup with Arjun Kapoor, was recently talking to the magazine Harper’s Bazaar when she admitted that negative comments about her “mess up” her day.

“Sometimes when I find something nasty written about me, I’ll admit, it messes up my day, but I’m getting better at blocking out the noise. I work a lot on keeping myself the way I am—mentally strong and being able to reinvent myself—by practising yoga and meditation, doing my retreats, eating, and sleeping on time,” she said.

However, Malaika also shared that amid the negativity, there are some, who also compliment her for her fitness and style on social media. “When someone says, ‘You look amazing at 48,’ it feels fantastic. I don’t think people mean it in a derogatory way. It’s a compliment. At 48, if I can look the way I do, it’s due to my hard work, dedication, and focus, which is paying off. It feels great when someone asks, ‘What do you do to stay like that?’” she added.

Interestingly, this comes at a time when Malaika has been making headlines for her rumoured breakup with Arjun Kapoor. Last month, Malaika left fans concerned after she skipped Arjun’s midnight birthday celebration at his Juhu residence. She didn’t wish him on social media either, which led to speculation about their possible breakup. Later, Malaika crossed Arjun at an event when they ignored each other and seemingly confirmed their breakup.

Earlier this month, Malaika also shared a cryptic note which talked about maintaining a balance in life. It also urged everyone to live their respective lives by their own rules and stated that others must not control your way of living at all.

“Balance is the key, in everything you do. Dance all night long and practice yoga the next day. Drink wine but don’t forget your green juice. Eat chocolate when your heart wants it and kale salad when your body needs it. Wear high heels on Saturday and walk barefoot on Sunday. Live high and low. Move and stay still. Embrace all sides of who you are,” it read.

“Be brave, bold, spontaneous and loud and let that complement your abilities and find silence, patience, modesty and peace. Aim for balance. Make your own rules and follow your own path. Don’t let anyone tell you how to live according to theirs,” the note added.
