Major First Review Out: Adivi Shesha steals the show as Sandeep Unnikrishnan, says UAE-based critic

Actor Adivasi Shesh is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Major’. Based on the life of 26/11 hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the biographical drama will hit the theaters on June 3. Directed by Shashi Kiran Tikka, the multilingual biographical drama will release in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. While the audience is desperate to see the Adivasi Shesh starrer film, the first review of the film has arrived. Umair Sandhu, a critic of the United Arab Emirates who is a member of the foreign censor board, claimed that ‘Major has a thrilling and gripping narrative that evokes patriotism without fanaticism’.

On his Twitter, Umair gave Major 3.5 stars and wrote, “First review #Major. @AdiviSesh The bravery performance and rigorous training to get into the role is reflected on screen. He stole the entire show. Major has a thriller And there is an entertaining story that inculcates patriotism without fanaticism. Go ahead for it.”

Producers have asked distributors and exhibitors to keep ticket prices for both single screens and multiplexes in Telugu states as low as possible. In Telangana, the ticket price for the film, directed by Shashi Kiran Tikka, has been set at around Rs 150 per single screen and Rs 195 per multiplex. However, in Andhra Pradesh, ‘Major’ will earn Rs 147 for a single screen and Rs 177 for a multiplex.

The film starring Adivasi Shesha will be screened in nine cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Bengaluru and Jaipur. Produced by Sony Pictures International Productions in association with Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies, Major also stars Shobhita Dhulipala, Sai Manjrekar, Revathi, Prakash Raj, Anish Kuruvilla and Murali Sharma.
