Mahindra XUV700 Wins ‘Safe Choice’ Award in Global NCAP Crash Test Rating

Global NCAP has awarded Mahindra XUV700 ‘Safer Choice’ award for achieving high level of safety performance in India. This is the second ‘Safe Choice’ award for the automaker. Mahindra XUV 700 had earlier received a five star rating in crash tests by an independent safety agency. In November 2021, the XUV 700 was rated five star for adult occupant protection and four star for child occupant protection. It had one of the highest combined occupant safety ratings of any car tested in the #SaferCarsForIndia campaign.

Mahindra XUV700 is equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) which includes forward collision warning, autonomous emergency brake using both camera and radar. The ADAS system also features: Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Smart Pilot Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition and High Beam Assist.

The XUV700 comes with 7 airbags which include curtain airbag (extending to third row occupants), driver knee airbag, driver side airbag and passenger side airbag, which fulfill the promise of safety in addition to the standard dual frontal airbags. Further, the XUV700 comes with a driver seat-belt lap pre-tensioner in addition to the standard seat-belt retractor pre-tensioner for the driver and co-driver. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) is standard.
