Maharashtra: Shiv Sena MLAs from Uddhav Thackeray camp in touch with Eknath Shinde faction, says minister Sandipan Bhumare | Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: Rebel Shiv Sena MLA and Maharashtra’s employment guarantee and horticulture minister Sandipan Bhumare on Saturday claimed that more MLAs from the Uddhav Thackeray faction were in touch with the rebels and would soon join the CM Eknath Shinde faction.
While speaking at a public meeting in Aurangabad’s Paithan, Bhumare claimed that one of the MLAs who would switch over had already met CM Shinde.
“Out of the 10-12 MLAs he (Uddhav Thackeray) has, one of them met chief minister Eknath Shinde and me the other day. They said how to do sir.. I said no problem, come here,” Bhumare claimed.
Bhumare visited Paithan for the first time after becoming a minister in the Shinde government. However, political observers said that his public meeting had received poor response and several empty chairs could be seen. It was also said that the rebels were rejected by the people. However, the claim made by Sandipan Bhumre in his speech is being discussed more than that.
Shiv Sena MLC, Ambadas Danve, who was recently appointed as the leader of opposition in the legislative council by Uddhav Thackeray, slammed Bhumare over his claims.
“There were not even 50 people at Bhumare’s event in Paithan. Many chairs were empty. So he must first take care of himself,” Danve said.
Bhumare is Sena MLA from Paithan in Aurangabad district. He is a five term MLA and operates sugar factories in the region. Bhumare was a minister for employment guarantee and horticulture in the MVA government also.
