THANE: Town police seized counterfeit foreign money with the face worth of Rs 2 lakh and arrested three males from a lodge at Kalyan in Thane district of Maharashtra, an official mentioned on Monday.
Police raided the lodge on a tip-off on Sunday and seized the pretend banknotes within the denomination of Rs 200 having the face worth of Rs 2,01,200.
The arrested males are recognized as Mohammad Arif Bashir Ahmed, Suraj Krishna Pujari, and Karan Raju Razak, he mentioned.
A case has been registered underneath part 489 (Possessing as real solid or counterfeit currency-notes or bank-notes) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the MFC police station, he added.
