Maharashtra Political Crisis: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut hit out at the rebel party MLAs camping in Guwahati, saying they were like living corpses and non-living bodies.

Sanjay Raut said, “There are 40 MLAs alive in Guwahati, their souls are dead. Their bodies will be sent directly to the assembly for post-mortem when they come back. They know what can happen in the fire here.” ,

Earlier in the day, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari asked the state’s top police officer to immediately provide adequate security to the MLAs and their families.

Amid the power struggle, Sanjay Raut challenged the rebels to step down as MLA and face fresh elections, but added that the party’s doors are open for those who want to return.

He expressed confidence that the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) comprising Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress will survive the current crisis.

Most of the Shiv Sena MLAs are in favor of Shinde and are currently camping in Guwahati, putting the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in jeopardy.

“My open challenge to the rebels is to resign and take a fresh mandate from my voters. In the past, Chhagan Bhujbal, Narayan Rane and their supporters have resigned as Shiv Sena MLAs to join other parties. Here Even (Union Minister) Jyotiraditya Scindia supporters in Madhya Pradesh had resigned as Congress MLAs (in March 2020),” Raut told reporters here.

He said the Shiv Sena rank and file is already on the ground and waiting for the leadership’s signal, indicating that the party is ready to deal with the rebels.

Raut took a jibe at Shinde’s tweet last night, in which he urged Shiv Sena workers to believe in him and said he was trying to save the party from the “dragon’s clutches” of MVA allies.

“I don’t know if these people are drunk or not. They have been in power for two-and-a-half years and have got the best ministers,” Raut said.

In a veiled warning, Raut said there could be rebellion even within the rebel group.

“Once they come back to Mumbai, they will know where the rebellion really is. We are against the use of the name of Shiv Sena and Balasaheb Thackeray by their group.”

Expressing confidence that the MVA will survive the crisis, Raut said, “The rebel MLAs claim to have the support of a majority. So why are they still in Guwahati? Come to Mumbai. I myself will be at the airport to welcome them. would go.”

“I would not be surprised if the rebels attack each other at the Guwahati hotel as they have been forcibly kept there,” he claimed.

He said that the doors of the party are open for those who want to come back.

“I am in touch with many of them. Let us see whether the BJP makes Shinde the chief minister or not,” he said.

Referring to reports of Shinde’s secret meetings with BJP leaders, he further said, “If you have guts, use your father’s name to get votes or use your father’s name in Vadodara, Surat, Delhi. “

Taking a jibe at the BJP, he said they were sponsoring the rebels when Assam was battling floods causing loss of life and property.

The hotel where the rebels are staying has 340 rooms. He said that it is an 18-storey building and three floors have been booked for the insurgents.

He said, “I am sending an e-mail to the hotel and asking for 40 rooms. I also sent an e-mail to the Chief Minister of Assam, who had invited Uddhav Thackeray to Assam as a tourist. I wrote to him. Was that we have to organize an event. Promote tourism in Maharashtra and Assam. That’s why we need hotel booking. But I haven’t received any reply yet,” quipped the Shiv Sena MP.

Meanwhile, in his weekly column ‘Rokhthok’ published in Shiv Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ on Sunday, Raut criticized Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly Devendra Fadnavis, saying that if he was indeed behind the revolt of party MLAs, he done wrong. Step.

“The hunger of these rebels is huge. If Fadnavis plans to come back to power by encouraging them, that system will not work. Once again Fadnavis has taken a wrong decision. How will these rebels stay with Fadnavis, when he Apna left my mother,” wrote Raut.

Shinde had a good chance of becoming Chief Minister if he remained in Shiv Sena.

Raut said that Shinde would have been the chief minister had the BJP not gone back on his word of rotational chief ministership, Raut said, adding, “It is surprising that Shinde wants to join the BJP.”

The executive editor of ‘Saamana’ also wrote that there are cases of money laundering and caste legitimacy against rebel MLAs Pratap Sarnaik, Yamini Jadhav, Lata Sonawane and others.

“One of the rebel MLAs said that he was freed after the ED’s cases against him were cleared that he will do what the BJP says,” Raut said.

Raut wondered why some rebel MLAs went to Surat before leaving for Guwahati, when the first batch had already reached Assam.

“It is a matter of research. If the rebellion is an internal matter of Shiv Sena, then why are the rebels kept under tight security in Surat and Guwahati,” he said.

Earlier in the day, Raut posted a tweet targeting the MLAs, in which he said, “Guwahati mein kab tak chupgege, chowpatti par aana karga,” the Shiv Sena MP tweeted in Hindi along with a picture of the state. Assembly Deputy Speaker Narhari Jirwal taking stock of the distance.
