Mumbai: Maharashtra Board has disclosed the evaluation criteria for HSC or class 12 students. On the same basis as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Maharashtra Board will also calculate the results on the basis of the performance of three years. The best out of three scores of class 10, class 11 scores and class 12 internal assessment will be taken into account in computing the class 10 results. Maharashtra Board may declare 12th results by July 31.
The government has released the evaluation criteria after several rounds of consultations with various stakeholders. . “In view of the pandemic, the state board is permitted to clear all the students in the HSC examination,” an official notification said.
1. Class 12: 40% Weightage
2. Class 11: Marks in Final Exam 30% Weightage
3. Class 10: 30% weightage for the average of best 3 exams
Evaluation Scale:
1. The college-based assessment scores in Class 12 and Class 11 will be considered for evaluation criteria.
2. The marks in the best 3 performing subjects of the student in the class 10 board examination will be considered.
3. For the theory part, the score in one or more theory papers of class 12 (unit test / first semester exam / practice test) will have 40 percent weightage while the marks in class 11 final exam and the average of the best three performing theory papers of class 10 The papers will carry 30 percent weightage each.
on Friday (July 2) Maharashtra State School Education Department released A Government Resolution (GR) announcing the evaluation policy said, “For the theory part of Class 12 examinations, 40 per cent weightage will be on the basis of marks obtained in Unit Test or 1st Semester Examination or Class 12 practice examination, 30 per cent. Weightage will be given to the marks obtained in class 11 and 30 percent will be based on the average of the best three performing theory papers of class 10.
This evaluation policy has come after several rounds of consultations. with various stakeholders. Varsha Gaikwad said, “In view of the pandemic situation, the state board is allowed to pass all students. The policy is based on the evaluation methodology devised by the central education boards to maintain uniformity in class 12 results.”
“Colleges are requested to meet the deadline for various activities so that the board can declare the results on time. The board will conduct webinars, upload frequently asked questions and set up helplines to give colleges Detailed understanding of the evaluation process to the teachers,” said Varsha Gaikwad.
