Maharashtra Covid cases: Maharashtra reports 6,258 Covid-19 cases, 254 deaths |4 Mumbai News – Times of India

Mumbai: Maharashtra 6,258 new reported coronavirus Cases and 254 people died on Tuesday, taking the total infections to 62,76,057 and the death toll to 1,31,859. state health department Said.
Both the daily figures rose compared to Monday when 4,877 new cases and 53 deaths were recorded. 12,645 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, taking the number of recoveries to 60,58,751, with 82,082 active cases in the state.
At present 4,98,933 people are in home quarantine and 3,456 are in institutional quarantine. The case recovery rate of the state is 96.54 percent while the death rate is 2.01 percent.
The number of coronavirus tests conducted in the state rose to 4,71,76,715 with 1,81,593 samples tested since Monday evening.
Mumbai region reported 1,023 new COVID-19 cases and 39 deaths, including 344 cases and five deaths in Mumbai city. Pune region reported 2,356 new cases and 44 new cases including 222 new cases and two deaths Pune city.
Kolhapur region recorded 1,578 new Covid-19 cases, followed by Nashik region with 808 cases, Latur Region with 342 cases, Aurangabad region with 97 cases, Nagpur region with 30 cases, and Akola Area with 24 cases.
Kolhapur region reported 89 fresh deaths, followed by Nashik region with 28 deaths, Nagpur region with 25 deaths, Aurangabad region 16, Latur region 10 and Akola region three. Significantly, in the last 24 hours, no new corona virus infection was found in Parbhani Municipal Corporation area as well as in Hingoli district.
