Mumbai: Maharashtra 4,505 new reported on Monday COVID-19 A health department official said there have been positive cases and 68 deaths while 7,568 patients have recovered.

Notably, the Dhule, Parbhani and Chandrapur municipal corporations did not report any new coronavirus case during the day, the official said.
Maharashtra’s case recovery rate is now 96.76 percent and the death rate is 2.01 percent.
Mumbai city saw 218 new cases and three deaths, while Pune reported 139 new infections but no deaths.
Among the eight regions of Maharashtra, Pune region recorded the highest number of 1,624 Covid-19 cases on Monday, followed by Kolhapur region with 1,223 cases.
708 infections in Nashik region, 611 in Mumbai region, Latur Zone 269, Akola Zone 33, Aurangabad Zone 25 and Nagpur Zone 12.
Of the 68 Covid-19 fatalities reported from eight zones, the highest 36 deaths were reported from Pune region, followed by Kolhapur region with 16 fatalities.
Mumbai, Nashik and Latur regions reported five deaths each. According to the official, one death was reported in Nagpur region, while there was no fresh death due to Kovid-19 in Akola and Aurangabad regions.
The official said that out of 68,375 active patients in Maharashtra, Pune district has the highest number of 14,149 such cases, out of which the highest number of 10,64,629 recoveries is also from Pune district.
The official said that with 1,57,175 new tests, the total number of samples tested so far in Maharashtra has reached 4,97,25,694.
A total of 4,21,683 people are in home quarantine in Maharashtra and 2,895 others in institutional quarantine, the official said.
