Maharashtra coal crisis: Appeal to reduce power consumption

The coal crisis in the country has started showing its impact on power generation. 13 units of coal-fired thermal power plants in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur, Nashik and Bhusaval have shut down due to shortage of coal. Due to this, the power generation of 3330 MW has almost come to a standstill. Maharashtra’s Energy Ministry says that despite this crisis, they are doing everything possible to avoid power cuts.
