Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that from April 1 next year, e-office system will be introduced in all government offices in the state to speed up work and make it “paperless”.

Shinde made the announcement after meeting V Srinivas, secretary of the Central Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances.

The Chief Minister said that the e-office system would enable faster functioning and the business would also be paperless.

He said that once all government offices move to e-office mode, officials would be able to access files and documents on their mobile phones as well.

Indian Railways adopts paperless working mode under special drive

Earlier in October, the Government of India launched a special drive to make Indian Railways 100% paperless in an effort to reduce paper wastage.

The Ministry of Railways decided to launch a special initiative called Abhiyaan 2.0 in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on cleanliness everywhere, reducing pendency of public grievances and aiming to enhance workplace culture.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Railways, the program was so successful that a follow-up campaign named “Special Campaign 2.0” was launched in September, with a wider scope and target to promote cleanliness and good governance in all sectors. work across the country.
