BJP leader Kirit Somaiya on Friday alleged that supporters of a local Shiv Sena MP threw stones and ink at his car in Maharashtra’s Washim district. A video showing some people raising slogans against former Mumbai MP Somaiya and throwing stones and ink at his convoy also circulated on social media.
Somaiya alleged in a tweet that the perpetrators were supporters of Shiv Sena MP Bhawna Gawli, however, the local police did not confirm this. Some people were detained following the incident and later released, a police official said, adding that no case has been registered.
