May this give peace to the soul of both the Brahmin mahants,” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said.
The Chief Minister was speaking on the inauguration day of ‘Lord Shri Ram-Shri Krishna Katha Tatvik Vivechan’ Kathamrita Gyan Yagya as part of a week-long tribute program to commemorate the 52nd death anniversary of Mahant Digvijaynath and 7th death anniversary of Mahant Avaidyanath on Friday.
“During the last 100 years, there has been no incident affecting the nation or religion in which both the Mahants did not participate directly or indirectly. His goal was public welfare and he worked for education, health and religious awakening.
Congratulating the PM on his birthday, the CM said, “PM Modi illuminated the name of the country on the global stage and gave a new direction to the country. This day is also important because today is Vishwakarma Jayanti. We are proud of him as the country’s leadership thinks about the benefit of every citizen and we all want to get his guidance and leadership for a long time.”
The Chief Minister also participated in the Katha Gyan Yagya Shobha Yatra, which started from the main temple of Gorakhnath Temple to Mahant Digvijaynath Memorial Conference Hall. Many other saints including Swami Sureshdas and Swami Raghavacharya of Santoshdas Satua Baba, Ayodhya Sant of Varanasi were also present on this occasion.
