Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan Launches ‘Ladli Bahna’ Scheme For Female Ahead Of Int’l Women’s Day

New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the Ladli Bahna Yojana from Bhopal on Sunday. As part of the launch of the scheme at the Jamboree Maidan here, the chief minister filled up a form for a woman on Sunday, which also happens to be her 65th birthday.

Chouhan said that through this scheme, there is a provision to give Rs 1000 per month to women in the age group of 23 to 60 years, who have less than 5 acres of land and annual income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh. He further said that the scheme will start from today itself. The scheme will start from March 5. Beneficiaries will be able to apply for the scheme till 30 April 2023. The final list of beneficiaries of the scheme will be released on May 31. Chouhan further said that the benefits of the scheme will start from June 10, 2023.

The amount will be credited to the accounts on the 10th of every month. Addressing the meeting, the CM of MP said that I used to think that when that day comes, my sisters will not have to worry about thousand rupees. A real brother who comes once a year on Raksha Bandhan and gives gifts to sisters, I will give something throughout the year, not once in a year. One crore women in the state, where assembly elections are due at the end of the year. A provision of Rs 8,000 crore has been made for this scheme in the state budget presented in the assembly recently.
