After Swara Bhaskar, the latest Bollywood personality to be tested positive for COVID19 is filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar. On Saturday, he took to his Twitter handle to update about his health. The filmmaker revealed that he is experiencing mild symptoms and has isolated himself. He also urged all the people who came in contact with him to get tested. Bhandarkar wrote, “I have tested positive for Kovid. Fully vaccinated, but experiencing mild symptoms. Isolated myself. Those who have come in contact with me, please get yourself tested.” Please stay safe and follow the COVID-19 protocol,” wrote Bhandarkar.
The new variant Omicron is spreading rapidly. There has been a huge increase in the number of infections in the last few weeks. Several Bollywood and television celebrities have tested positive for the virus. On Friday, composer Vishal Dadlani and actress Kubra Sait revealed that they have contracted COVID-19.
Taking to Instagram, Vishal wrote a note about his diagnosis, stating that he has mild symptoms. “At any time, except during weekly shoots (where all testing protocols were followed to the best of my knowledge), have I met anyone without a mask. Nor have I touched anything, as far as I am concerned. I know. My symptoms are relatively mild, but still pretty debilitating. Please be careful,” he wrote.
Earlier, Swara Bhaskar confirmed that she has tested positive for COVID19. He also urged those who came in contact with him to get themselves tested to be safe. Swara released a statement revealing that she has been in isolation with her family since January 5.
“I have tested positive for COVID. I developed symptoms on 5th January 2022 and the RT-PCR test results confirmed it. Me and my family are in isolation since the evening of 5th January.. and I take all necessary precautions I have informed everyone I meet during the week about my being COVID, but if anyone else has come in contact with me, please get yourself tested. Double mask up and Be safe.’
