Mac: Windows 11 virtualization on M1 Mac ‘not supported scenario’: Microsoft – Times of India

A Microsoft spokesperson told The. told register Windows 11 support for M1-based machines is ‘not a supported scenario’ on Friday. This means that Windows 11 will not support ARM virtualization or natively on the M1 Mac.
Windows 10 ARM itself was not supported on M1 Macs and Microsoft will not continue to support new Macs with Windows 11.
It is also worth noting that the statement does not mean that Windows 11 M1 will not run on Mac. Users may still be able to install Windows 11 through third-party virtualization software such as SimilaritiesOf course, it’s just that Microsoft won’t officially support it.
