Ludhiana: Two persons tested positive for Covid, while no death was reported due to the virus on Monday. A day earlier, eight persons had tested positive for Covid.

The Health Department said that so far 33,68,170 suspects have been tested for COVID in Ludhiana district. It said that while two persons from Ludhiana tested positive for Covid, none from other areas tested positive for the disease on Monday.
Officials of the local health department said that till Monday, the total number of patients from Ludhiana district was 1,09,745 while the number of infected from outside districts/states increased to 14,729.
The Civil Surgeon said that so far 1,07,434 COVID positive patients have been cured in Ludhiana district, which is 97.89% of the total cases.
