LUDHIANA: One person from Ludhiana died whereas 22 persons tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday. A day before, 2 persons from Ludhiana had died whereas 27 persons had tested positive for the disease.
Health department officials said that one person who died of Covid was from Ludhiana and there was no death of other districts/states.
Meanwhile, the health department bulletin suggests that with one death from Ludhiana, the total number of deaths of the district increased to 2272 whereas 1123 out of district/state deaths have been reported in Ludhiana Hospitals till now.
Health department said that till date 3281050 suspects have been tested for Covid in Ludhiana District, It added that whereas 13 cases were from Ludhiana, 9 persons from other areas tested positive for the disease on Saturday.
Local health department officials said that till Saturday total number of patients from Ludhiana district was 109591 whereas with the number of cases from outer districts/states increased to 14676.
Civil Surgeon said that till now 107159 Covid positive patients have recovered in Ludhiana District which constitutes 97.78% of the total cases.
