LUDHIANA: The parents of a 13-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted on August 28 are yet to sleep. According to the family, a neighbor has kidnapped the girl on the pretext of marriage. Since then, the family is trying hard to find the daughter. The family also alleged that the local police officials were not doing enough to trace their daughter.
13-year-old Jeevanjot Kaur of Class VIII of Dugri village was allegedly abducted by her 17-year-old neighbor. Dugri police have also registered an FIR against the accused under Section 366-A (Procurement of minor girl). The family members of the missing girl have been requesting help from senior police officers by tweeting for the past few days. In the tweet, he has also alleged that the investigating officers are not making efforts to trace the girl.

The accused was torturing his daughter. He managed to get her mobile number and started forcing her to befriend him. When he came to know about the matter, he warned the accused after which he agreed.
The father said that he and his wife are working and their daughter stays at home. When they returned from office on August 28, they found him missing. A complaint was lodged against this in Dugri police. Later it was found that the accused had taken her along on the pretext of marriage.
