A technical problem forced an AIX Connect flight from Bengaluru to Lucknow to make an emergency landing at the Kempegowda International Airport here on Saturday, according to Air Asia officials. According to the information received, flight I5-2472 had taken off at around 6.45 am on Saturday morning and was to land in Lucknow at 9 am. However, it was grounded shortly after take off.
An AIX Connect spokesperson said, “AIX Connect confirms that the i5-2472, which is scheduled to be operated from Bengaluru to Lucknow, encountered a minor technical issue and elected to return to Bengaluru.”
“Alternative arrangements have been made for affected guests and we are taking steps to minimize the impact on other scheduled operations,” the spokesperson said.
