LPG price hiked by Rs 50 per cylinder

Sources said the price of domestic cooking gas (LPG) was hiked by Rs 50 per cylinder on Tuesday in line with the hike in international energy prices. The 14.2 kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 949.50 in the national capital.

This is the first hike in LPG rates since the beginning of October.

Prices have remained stable since then, despite a jump in raw material prices.

Sources said a 5 kg LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 349 while a 10 kg mixed bottle will cost Rs 669.

The cost of 19 kg commercial cylinder is now Rs 2003.50.

Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices, which were stable despite rising raw material prices, were also hiked on Tuesday.

The price of petrol in Delhi will now be Rs 96.21 per liter from Rs 95.41 earlier, while the price of diesel has increased from Rs 86.67 per liter to Rs 87.47.
