The Meteorological Department said on Monday that due to a cyclonic circulation, a low pressure area is likely to form over northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal. Under the influence of this system, the Meteorological Department predicted that an area of ​​low pressure could form, but no specific time was predicted.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “A cyclonic circulation is persisting over West Central and adjoining South Odisha, adjoining North-West Bay of Bengal – North Andhra Pradesh in central and upper troposphere levels, with an elevation of South – Tilts to the west.”

According to the weatherman, widespread to fairly widespread rainfall is likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, including heavy to very heavy rainfall over parts of the same geography in the next two days.

“Gust gusting to 40 to 50 kmph and gusting to 60 kmph very likely over south and west central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh-Odisha coast during August 16-18,” he said. “

The MeT official advised the fishermen not to venture into the sea after Wednesday.

Incessant drizzle continued for more than three hours at many places on Sunday evening in West Godavari district, especially Bhimavaram town and adjoining areas.

Although there was light drizzle on Monday morning, there was no rain in these places but it was cloudy and pleasant.
