The romantic couple even flew to a dreamy getaway in the Philippines to celebrate their one-month wedding anniversary. Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai, with only close friends and family in attendance. The couple had been dating for seven years before they decided to tie the knot. Following the wedding, both Sonakshi and Zaheer sat down for an interview with Galatta India where they both shared the most magical moment from the day of their wedding.

Zaheer Iqbal said, “I think it is the best moment of my life, and it was so beautiful. The Kanyadan had been delayed by 15 minutes, and when we finally sat down, I held her hand, and we were praying. Suddenly, Sona said, ‘Can you hear that?’ I asked, ‘What?’ She replied, ‘The Azaan is on,’ and it was such a beautiful moment. The pandit was praying, reciting the mantras, and the Azaan was playing in the background as we were getting married. It felt like divine intervention.”

Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in ZEE5’s horror comedy Kakuda. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film is set in a quaint Uttar Pradesh town haunted by a mischievous ghost ‘Kakuda’ who curses men to die within 13 days unless they leave a small door open every Tuesday evening. Besides Sonakshi, the film also features Riteish Deshmukh who is seen battling supernatural forces.
