Ser o Juni is born out of the fusion of two bands that are active participants in Kathmandu’s music scene: Juni, composed of Abhishek Bhadra (Nepal) on keyboards and vocalist María Fajardo (Spain), along with the Chilean band Ser o Duo, Tomas Carrasco on flute and Moa Edmonds on guitar. The collaboration, which debuted in 2020, consists of original compositions and arrangements that seek to reflect the roots as well as the individual musical findings of each of its members. Their influences are as diverse as the composers themselves: from jazz to world music, to Latin-American folklore, to rock and experimental music, with sweet gusts of improvisation.

Akoda

Valerie Chan Teff: piano, vocals and compositions, Franck Lemregi: percussion and backing vocals, Benjamin Pellier: bass and backing vocals. It’s “their sound”: one that AKODA’s three partners have been refining for a decade, enthusiastically taking us through the Creole ballads that make up their identity and their infectious joie de vivre. With their voices, they sing Réunion, Guadeloupe, Martinique, or invented languages. It’s a living tradition that the group reproduces and transmits to us with its jazz signature: throbbing hearts, dancing bodies and ever-present emotions.
