Looting of electricity bills will end if Congress forms government in UP: Priyanka Gandhi
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday alleged that the people of Uttar Pradesh are facing “loot” of electricity bills in the BJP-ruled state and said it will be abolished when her party comes to power.
The Congress general secretary also tagged a media report, which claimed that the electricity department has given a labor bill notice of more than 19 crores to a labourer.
In a tweet in Hindi, he said, “The general public of the state is troubled by the loot of electricity bills and smart meters under the BJP rule.”
He said, “The electricity department has given electricity bill notice of Rs 19 crore 19 lakh to the family working hard to earn a living.”
Gandhi said that this ‘loot’ of electricity bills will end when the Congress forms the government in the state.
