Looks like Yogi presiding over ‘kangaroo court where minority is…’: Mehbooba

SRINAGAR: PDP President and former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti reacted sharply to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s policy of bulldozing properties of those whom the Uttar Pradesh government finds involved in violence, PDP President and J&K’s Former CM Mehbooba Mufti said that the BJP CM is presiding over the “Kangaroo Court”.

Mehbooba Mufti wrote in a tweet, “UP CM presiding over a kangaroo court where minorities are regularly bulldozed. Unfortunately the judiciary watches in silence as homes and lives are ruined. Will international outrage be needed here too to correct the Indian government?”

His tweet came after a video from a TV channel showed Municipal corporation teams with bulldozers in UP Parts of the houses of the two accused, who were arrested on charges of disturbing peace and social harmony, were vandalized in the heavy police presence. Violence erupted in many parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh on Friday over controversial remarks by the now suspended Nupur Sharma on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
