Mumbai: ‘Chennai Express’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles completed 8 years of its release today. The film was not only a box-office success but also one of Deepika Padukone’s most loved roles. The ‘Pathan’ actress stunned the audience with her perfect comic timing and was back on screen with film-lovers Shah Rukh and Deepika after ‘Om Shanti Om’, which released in the year 2007.
‘Chennai Express’ was released in the year 2013 and it marked one of Deepika’s performances which changed the shape of her career. This film has established him as one of the leading actors of Bollywood. In this film directed by Rohit Shetty, he was well-liked by both the critics and the audience. With this film, Padukone also entered the list of ‘reasoning queens’ of Bollywood.

Deepika will be seen in ‘Pathan’, Shakun Batra’s untitled film co-starring Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi, opposite Hrithik Roshan in ‘Fighter’. She also has a project co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas with Nag Ashwin in her kitty.
