Mumbai: After announcing their divorce on June 3, 2021, Aamir Khan and his ex-wife Kiran Rao have come together for the first time to make an appearance at an event of Paani Foundation. They appeared together for a video call and also shared their opinion on their divorce. Aamir Kiran both attended the event from Kargil, where the actor is reportedly shooting for his upcoming film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’.
In the video, Aamir and Kiran can be seen assuring their fans that they will be seen together and will support each other even after their separation. The couple further said that the Paani Foundation is like their child just like Azad. Paani Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao that is active in drought prevention and watershed management.

Aamir and Kiran announced their divorce in a joint statement, which read, “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared the experiences, joy and laughter of a lifetime, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect and love. is. Now we would like to start a new chapter in our life – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family to each other. We began a planned separation a while back, and now feel comfortable formalizing the arrangement, sharing our lives as one extended family despite living apart. We are dedicated parents to our son Azad, whom we will raise together. We will also continue to collaborate on films, the Paani Foundation and other projects that we feel passionate about. Many thanks to our families and friends for their continued support and understanding of this development in our relationship, and without whom we would not have been so safe to take this leap. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao got married in the year 2005. They have a son, Azad Rao Khan, who was born in 2011 through surrogacy.
