Kangana Ranaut’s reality show ‘Lock Up: Badmaash Jail Attyari Khel’ has been in the news ever since its announcement. Featuring 13 controversial figures, the show brings to it a unique format filled with entertainment, drama and boundless masala that the audience has never seen before. And, now the time has come when the first contestants of the show are being eliminated.
ALTBalaji took to its Instagram handle to share a post announcing the eviction of Lord Swami Chakrapani from the lock-up. He wrote, “#Swami Chakrapani Maharaj is a crook out of jail! Can You Guess Who Will Be Week Out? #LockupStreaming tonight at 10:30 PM. Watch live 24×7 and stay updated.”
Religious leader Swami Chakrapani claims he is the president of the Hindu Mahasabha, a long-standing Hindu nationalist body in India. He has been seen being vocal about his ideologies in the show which is not appreciated by others. He faced problems with another contestant and in fact, he had some tough moments with renowned fashion designer, Sayesha Shinde. He was also not able to help his comrades while performing the tasks. So, host Kangana Ranaut decided to eliminate him in the first week with the vote of the audience. With this, Swami Chakrapani has become the first contestant to be eliminated from the show.
Meanwhile, talking about the show, Lock Up streams on ALTBalaji and MX Player. Apart from Poonam Pandey, the celebrities inside the show include comedian Munawwar Farooqui, actors Nisha Rawal, Sara Khan, Karanvir Bohra, Payal Rohatgi, Shivam Sharma, Siddharth Sharma, political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla, fashion designer Saisha Shinde, social media influencer Anjali. Arora, and wrestler Babita Phogat.
Earlier, in an episode, Lock Up contestant Poonam Pandey opened up about her childhood struggles and recalled how her family didn’t even have money to eat. While talking to Munavvar, Anjali and Sayyeshaa, Poonam mentioned that she belongs to a landlocked family and revealed that her mother had to struggle a lot during her childhood days. The actress further said that she did not have money and used to eat rice with salt water. The controversial celebrity further agreed that she has done several publicity stunts, but added that her brother and sister are settled today because of the same.
