Liz Hurley penned emotional note unable to attend Shane Warne’s funeral

English model and actress Elizabeth Hurley has penned an emotional note saying her heart aches as she will not be able to attend the funeral of her former fiancée, legendary Australian cricketer Shane Warne, who died of heartbreak at a Thai island resort. He had died of a stroke. ,

Hurley shared several old photos with Warne on Instagram. The pictures are from Sri Lanka, where they celebrated their engagement.

“My heart hurts that I can’t be in Australia tomorrow for Shane’s funeral. I was filming last night and in time, can’t physically get there. These photos are from Sri Lanka to celebrate our engagement We had all our kids with us and it was the happiest time,” she wrote alongside the images.

Hurley shared that he is still not that Warne.

“It still hasn’t really sunk that he’s gone. It seems so cruel that as many people who love him will never hug another lion, but our memories will live on forever. RIP Lionheart, LOVE With your Luna,” she wrote.

Hurley and Warne were engaged in September 2011 until they split in December 2013, their relationship attracting significant media glare.

The legendary spinner died on 4 March in Thailand of a suspected heart attack. He was first romantically involved with Hurley in 2010. The two announced the news of their engagement via Twitter. However, they separated in 2013.

Hurley was heartbroken by Warne’s sudden demise. He condoled Warne’s death by writing an emotional note on social media and called Shane his “dear Lionheart”.

“I feel like the sun is gone behind a cloud forever. Rip out my dear lionheart @shanewarne23,” she wrote.
