England got off to a good start on the first day of the fifth Test in Hobart but Travis Head’s century spoiled the crowd’s celebration. Derailed at 12/3, a Hades ton led Australia to 241-6 on the rain-hit stumps on the first day. Head, who scored 152 in the opening Test in Brisbane, countered England’s early success with an attacking 113-ball 101 in the day-night Test as Australia came back strongly after losing the toss.
