‘Live evening’: Months after Assam-Mizoram conflict, 2 chief ministers dine together


Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma dined with Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga in Delhi on Thursday, November 25, months after fierce clashes between the two northeastern states.

“Happy to share that HCM Mizoram Mr. @ZoramthangaCM Accepted my invitation to dinner at Assam House in Delhi. We had a nice dinner and a lively evening. It’s always a great pleasure to have his kind company (sic),” Sarma tweeted after their meeting.

“Thank you for your warm welcome Mr. @himantabiswa ji and Shri @AtulBora2 Yes. There was cordial discussion on various developmental issues for the welfare of Northeast India. Many more progressives await the meeting,” the Mizoram Chief Minister tweeted.
