Seven years after the death of Chester Bennington, Linkin Park has made their return with new developments.

Seven years after the tragic loss of Chester Bennington, Linkin Park has officially made their return with exciting new developments. During a live-stream event, original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn introduced their new vocalist, Emily Armstrong, who will join Shinoda in sharing the mic. Drummer Colin Brittain was also unveiled as a new addition to the band. The livestream performance showcased their latest single, The Emptiness Machine. Additionally, the band revealed details about their forthcoming album, From Zero, set to be released on November 15.

Armstrong is best known for her work with the alt-rock band Dead Sara, while Brittain has built his career as a songwriter and producer working with artists like Papa Roach, One OK Rock and All Time Low. In a statement given to The Associated Press, it was confirmed that the band’s original drummer, Rob Bourdon, “has decided to step away” from the group, reports Deadline.

The band didn’t stop with just new music. They also announced the From Zero World Tour, with five arena shows scheduled in Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London and Seoul over the coming month, followed by a concert in Bogotá in November.

Linkin Park rose to prominence in the 2000s, largely thanks to Bennington’s powerful vocals. He passed away at the age of 41, not long after the release of the band’s last studio album, One More Light. Since then, the band has commemorated its history through various re-releases, such as 20th-anniversary editions of Hybrid Theory and Meteora, along with this year’s greatest hits collection Papercuts.

Reflecting on the new album, Shinoda said, “Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking,” reports Time.

The upcoming world tour, dubbed the From Zero World Tour, will kick off with performances in major cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, and Seoul, with another stop in Bogotá scheduled for November.

The From Zero album tracklist reportedly includes From Zero, The Emptiness Machine, Cut The Bridge, Heavy Is The Crown, Over Each Other, Casualty, Overflow, Two Faced, Stained, IGYEIH and Good Things Go.
