Line broke, Black Diamond Express escapes major crash for short

There were big cracks in the line. Had it somehow escaped notice, a major accident could have happened. However, the Howrah bound Black Diamond Express survived the accident as the railway staff noticed the rift at the right time. The incident happened around 7.30 pm on Tuesday. When the express train was going from Durgapur to Howrah, it stopped with a loud jolt just before Rajbandh station. It was later learned that the train was suddenly stopped due to a crack in the line.

It is learned that there was a rift in Sagarbhanga between Durgapur and Rajbandh stations. The Black Diamond Express was stopped just before the line broke down due to the movement of railway workers. After boarding the line, the Black Diamond Express was abandoned. There is a delay of one hour for this. However, hundreds of people survived.

Shortly before the Black Diamond Express, an army special train ran from Durgapur to Panagarh on the same line. After leaving Durgapur station, the driver received an unusual jolt in the train. After this he sent a message at Panagarh station, warning the railway officials. After this the work of finding the crack started. By then the Black Diamond Express had also been stopped.

A special team of railways and high-ranking officials reached the spot as soon as the crack was reported. The train was released an hour after the crack repair work was completed. How this crack came on the railway line is being investigated.
