Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders clash in the 38th match of the Indian Premier League at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. With seven wins out of nine, the MS Dhoni-led side are second on the points table with fourteen points. Kolkata, on the other hand, recently entered the top half of the table after consecutive wins since the start of IPL 2021 in the UAE. They are currently in fourth place with four wins from nine and eight points in their kitty.
Both these teams are on a roll after the resumption of IPL, and will be looking to continue their winning streak by being the two most dominant sides of the second leg of the tournament. Will be desperate to outdo each other to register a hat-trick of wins.
Another common feature after the resumption of the tournament is that CSK and KKR have registered both their impressive victories against Royal Challengers Bangalore and defending champions Mumbai Indians. While CSK beat Rohit Sharma-less MI by 20 runs and registered a seven-wicket win over RCB. For Kolkata Knight Riders, they beat RCB and MI by nine and seven wickets respectively.
However, CSK will be wary of Varun Chakravarthy, who tormented him during the last season in the UAE. KKR, on the other hand, will continue to play aggressively and look to win the title just like the 2014 edition when they registered nine consecutive wins.
