New Delhi: Pankaj Kumar Singh, 1988-batch IPS A Rajasthan cadre officer was on Wednesday appointed as the Director General of Border Security Force. Singh, son of retired IPS officer Parkash Singh, who also headed the BSF several years ago, is currently serving as the Special DG in the same force.
The force was under the additional charge of ITBP DG SS Deswal as its last full-time DG Rakesh Asthana was appointed as the Delhi Police Commissioner in late July.
Appointments Committee of cabinet The new ITBP chief was also named on Wednesday. 1988 batch IPS officer Sanjay Arora TN frame and will replace Deswal, presently Special DG in ITBP. In another sequence, acc Balaji Srivastava has been appointed as the Director General of Bureau of Police Research and Development, a central police organization
