‘Like America’: Nitin Gadkari Promises US Like Roads In Rajasthan By 2024 End

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday said that by the end of 2024, Rajasthan’s roads will be like America, making it a happy and prosperous state. The senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader also said that the aim of everyone at the Center is to make the country’s villages happy and prosperous. Gadkari said this while addressing the foundation stone laying program of various development works in Pakka Sarna village of Hanumangarh district.

He said that he often repeats the words of former US President John F. Kennedy, who said, “America’s roads are good not because America is rich. America is rich because of its good roads.”

Gadkari said, “I promise you that by the end of 2024, the roads of Rajasthan will be made at par with the roads of America. Due to these roads, Rajasthan will also become a happy and prosperous state.” He said that when governments change, the society should also change.

He said, “Get freedom from poverty, hunger and unemployment. Farmers get water for their fields, youth get employment, country’s imports stop, exports increase and farmers become crorepatis by becoming food providers and energy providers.” Added.

Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of six National Highway projects and seven Railway Overbridges (ROBs) under the Setu Bandhan project at a total cost of Rs 2,050 crore.

MPs Nihal Chand, Rahul Kaswan and Narendra Kumar were also present on the occasion.
