‘Leave Toilet, Join Pilot’: Rajasthan Congress MLA Writes To Ashok Gehlot

quota: Referring to the filth of corruption, a Congress MLA in Rajasthan on Saturday requested Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to “leave the toilet and join the pilot” in his campaign in the interest of the party. Sangod MLA Bharat Singh Kundanpur also asked Gehlot to “stop patronizing the corrupt ‘Bhaya'” in a letter to Gehlot, citing Rajasthan’s Mining and Cow Husbandry Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya.

Kundanpur wrote in the letter about the effigy of Ravana kept in his Kota office, which he and other party workers have often used to protest against the “wrongdoings” of the previous BJP regime.

He said a message written on the effigy was worth considering, and quoted it in the letter:

“It is wrong to make a mistake intentionally. It is worse to conceal a mistake.”

“Despite being aware of the wrongdoing, the silence of the higher officials is collusion. If the head of the department is silent, it is corruption with collusion. The arrogance of the post hurts the public.”

Referring to Gehlot, who is holding the charge of Home Ministry, Kundanpur said that the State Home Minister should consider these points.

Kundanpur said, “Please stop patronizing the corrupt ‘Bhaya’.”

The one-time minister and four-time MLA ended the letter by saying, “In the interest of the party, please leave the toilet and join Pilot.”

Later speaking to PTI, he explained that he had used the word “toilet” in the letter to refer to the alleged mess of corruption in the state. He said that the corruption charges against Bhaya are pending investigation but the investigating officer retires.
