In the Chintan Shivir being held in Udaipur, the recommendations regarding major changes in the Congress have been approved. Under this, tickets of many elderly leaders are now set to be cut in the next Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Youth will get priority from organization to election ticket distribution. These changes will come into effect from the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and subsequent assembly elections.
In the Lok Sabha elections, 50 percent tickets will be given to leaders below 50 years of age. This provision will not be applicable in the elections held before the Lok Sabha elections. Everyone has agreed to implement these recommendations of the youth group. Preparations are on to send the elderly leaders to the guide board.
There will be a provision to give 50 percent of the posts at every level from top to bottom in the organization of the Congress, to the leaders below 50 years of age. It has been decided to implement it in the ‘Udaipur Declaration’ prepared after brainstorming in the Chintan Shivir.
Apart from the Gandhi family, the families of many big leaders will not be troubled by the provision of one family, one ticket.
Retirement age will be fixed for elderly leaders
In the recommendations of the youth group of Congress, it has been suggested to fix the retirement age of the leaders. According to this, a retirement age will be fixed in all the elected posts from Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha. Elderly leaders will not be contested. Elderly leaders have been recommended to take work for the strengthening of the party organization. As soon as this provision is implemented, elderly leaders in Congress will be out of the race for tickets.
One ticket per family, but conditions apply
The provision of giving only one ticket from one family will be applicable, but if another leader of a family has worked in the organization for five years, then he will be able to get the ticket. If the son of a leader is active in the organization for five years, then the family will be able to get another ticket. By implementing this provision, apart from the Gandhi family, families of many big leaders will not face any problem in getting two tickets.

The work of the block, district, state and AICC level office bearers of Congress will be evaluated. The posts of leaders who do not spoil will be snatched away.
Half the office bearers will be below 50 years of age
From block to state level, 50% of the officers will be below 50 years of age. With this, young leaders will get posts in the party. The provision of reservation will be applicable for the participation of SC-ST, OBC and minorities in party posts.
Political Affairs Committee in every state
Political Affairs Committee should be constituted in every state. On completion of 75 years of independence, 75 km long padyatra will be taken out at every district level from 9th August. In the Congress, in 90 to 180 days, there will be appointments on the posts of the organization lying vacant at the block, district, state level. Mandal committees will be formed in Congress.
