Bharti Singh recently shared that the show’s coordinators would rub her back and she lacked the confidence to speak.

Comedian Bharti Singh, better known as the Laughter Queen, opened up about facing sexual harassment at work early in her career in the entertainment industry.

She recently appeared on Maniesh Paul’s podcast, in which she talked about being touched inappropriately by the show coordinators. As per the ETimes report, while making the revelation, Bharti shared that she was clueless and also lacked the confidence to raise her voice against it at that time.

“The coordinators (of the show) sometimes misbehaved. He used to rub his hands on his back. I know it’s not a good feeling, but then I think he’s like my uncle, he can’t be bad. Maybe I’m wrong and he’s right. So I figured it didn’t look right. I didn’t understand.”

Bharti further said that now she has got the confidence and understanding to speak. “I now have the confidence to fight for my honor, for my body. I can now say ‘what’s the matter, what are you seeing, go out we are changing now’. I can speak now, but then I didn’t have the courage.”

She will return to The Kapil Sharma Show along with Kiku Sharda, Sudesh Lahiri, Krushna Abhishek, Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh and Chandan Prabhakar.
