Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last at the age of 92 today i.e. on February 6 at 8:12 am after multiple-organ failure. She was diagnosed with COVID-19 last month and was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for the past 29 days. Mangeshkar never went to school but has six doctoral degrees. After her father passed away at the age of only 13, she started taking care of the family as she was the eldest daughter.
Another reason was that Mangeshkar never went to school. On the first day of school, she was teaching children to sing when her teacher stopped her from doing so. After that she never went to school.

Mangeshkar also took his younger sister Asha Bhosle with him to school, but this was not allowed. The very next day he dropped out of school. Although she never attended school, she has been awarded six doctorate degrees from universities around the world. He was fond of singing since childhood. With a career spanning over seven decades, Mangeshkar was the star of the Bollywood music industry. She was dubbed the Nightingale of India and sang more than 30,000 songs in different languages. She initially started as an actress and later she became a singing sensation. Some of his biggest hits include Lag Ja Gale, Azeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh, Lag Ja Gale Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai, Ae Mere Watan Ke Log etc.
For his contribution to cinema and the arts, Mangeshkar was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1969, the Padma Vibhushan in 1999 and the Bharat Ratna in 2001. He had tested positive for Covid-19 on January 8 with mild symptoms and was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
