Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has tested positive for COVID-19. The 92-year-old singer, popularly known as the Nightingale of India, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. After the news of Lata’s health, many took to Twitter and prayed for her speedy recovery. It stars filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and politician Prakash Javadekar.
Madhur shared a tweet about Lata’s health update and said, “Wishing Mangeshkarlata didi a speedy recovery.” Music composer Salim Merchant shared a picture of Lata and wrote, “Praying for Mangeshkarlata ji’s speedy recovery.” Political leader Prakash Javadekar also prayed for his speedy recovery. Get well soon Lata Mangeshkar. Entire nation is praying for your good health.”
Legendary singer Kumar Sanu’s son Jaan Kumar Sanu also urged everyone to pray for him. “Bharat Nightingale – Lata Mangeshkar Ma’am, wishing you a speedy recovery. Please pray for her all,” he tweeted.
Fans also prayed for his speedy recovery. “Wishing our Maa Saraswati Bharat Ratna @mangeshkarlata didi a speedy recovery from #COVID. While I’m sure he’s in good hands at Breach Candy Hospital, let’s keep him in our prayers. We wish him to come back stronger and mesmerize us even more with his melodious voice,” added another.
Lata was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday. Sharing Lata’s health update, her niece Rachna told ANI, “She is doing fine; In view of his age, he has been kept in ICU for precautionary reasons. Please respect our privacy and keep Didi in your prayers.” Sources confirmed to us, “Lata Mangeshkar is asymptomatic and does not require external oxygen support. He is in good health and doctors are monitoring the situation thoroughly.”
