Larger Tubewell Load Plea Deadline Prolonged | Chandigarh Information – Instances of India

Chandigarh: For farmers desirous of enhancing electrical energy load of their tubewells, the Punjab authorities, led by chief minister Bhagwant Mann, had prolonged the date for voluntary disclosure scheme (VDS) for enhancing load until September 15.
Mann stated the choice was taken to facilitate the meals growers of the state. The federal government had launched the VDS on June 10 for 45 days (until July 24) by slashing charges for load enhancement on tubewells from present Rs 4,750 to Rs 2,500 per BHP.
To date, 1.28 lakh farmers had saved Rs 123 crore by availing the advantage of the scheme.
The CM stated conserving in view the response from the farmers, the state authorities had now determined to increase the deadline of this scheme until September 15. He exhorted farmers to take most good thing about the scheme and apply for the load enhancement on the diminished costs.
In the meantime, reiterating the agency dedication of the state authorities to make agriculture a worthwhile enterprise, he stated that the scheme was a proper step within the course.
