Mumbai: Former Miss Universe Lara Dutta has fulfilled her dream by working with ace director Vishal Bhardwaj. Lara has worked in her OTT debut project ‘Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley’ under the direction of Vishal. Lara took to Instagram on Sunday to express her gratitude for the director. Sharing a frame with Vishal and his wife Rekha Bhardwaj, Lara wrote in the caption, “Yes you can reveal your reality!! Working together with both Vishal sir and Rekha ji is a dream come true.” !!One that I have done I have been hoping and praying for a long time!! Love, appreciation and deep respect for both of you.” In the frame, Lara is seen wearing a white kurti and has kept her hair loose.
`Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley` is based on Agatha Christie`s detective novel “The Sitaford Mystery”. The series will premiere on SonyLIV. Set in the snow-capped mountains of Himachal Pradesh, the series will follow the journey of Charlie Chopra and his quest to uncover a dark secret. Apart from playing the role of director and co-producer, Vishal Bhardwaj also serves as co-screenwriter of the show along with Anjum Rajabali and Jyotsna Hariharan.
The series boasts of an impressive ensemble cast including Vamika Gabbi, Priyanshu Painyuli, Naseeruddin Shah, Neena Gupta, Ratna Pathak Shah, Gulshan Grover, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Paoli Dam. After a hiatus from the silver screen, Lara plays late Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Akshay Kumar starrer `Bell Bottom`, which will hit the theaters in 2021. Lara’s look in the film became a topic of discussion. The former Miss Universe made her web debut in 2020 with Hotstar original ‘Hundred’. Later, she acted in few series like ‘Hichki Aur Hookup’, ‘Kaun Banegi Shikharvati’.
