Lalit Modi on oxygen support: Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev wishes former IPL chairman ‘a speedy recovery’

New Delhi: Lalit Modi, former IPL chairman and founder, is currently on 24×7 external oxygen support as he contracted double bouts of Covid “with influenza and severe pneumonia” in a span of two weeks.

Lalit took to Instagram on Friday to talk about his condition and revealed that he was in Mexico when he contracted the infection and has now reached London via air ambulance.

“After 3 weeks of confinement with a double covid in 2 weeks with Influenza and deep pneumonia – and after trying several times to leave. Finally landed via air ambulance with two doctors and superstar super skilful son , who did a lot for me. London. Flight was smooth. Unfortunately still on 24/7 external oxygen. Thank you everyone at @vistajet for going the extra mile. I am so grateful to everyone. Love everyone. Big Hugs,” shared Lalit.

After learning about Lalit’s ill health, many people including members of the sports industry and entertainment industry took to the comments section and wished him a speedy recovery.

Rajeev Sen, brother of Lalit’s alleged girlfriend Sushmita Sen, also reacted, “Lalit wishes you a speedy recovery. Stay strong,” commented Rajeev.

In July 2022, Lalit announced his relationship with Sushmita. He made the revelation in a note and a series of photos on Instagram. He called Sushmita his ‘better half’. He had also changed his Instagram profile photo, which was with Sushmita, and his bio, which had a line about her. A few months later, Lalit had removed his Instagram profile photo with Sushmita and changed his bio as well, fueling breakup rumours.

“Back in London after a whirlwind global tour #withfamilies #maldives #sardinia – not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 – finally a fresh start a new life. Over the moon. In love yet married Meant not. But by the grace of God it will happen. I just announced that we are together.” Posted by Lalit.

However, Sushmita has neither confirmed nor denied the relationship or the alleged breakup.
