The farmers’ unions had said that if the government did not accede to their demands by October 11, they would take out a ‘Shaheed Kisan Yatra’ from Lakhimpur Kheri with the ashes of the slain farmers.

The SKM had called for ‘Rail Roko’ protests across the country from 10 am to 4 pm on October 18 and ‘Mahapanchayat’ in Lucknow on October 26.
