Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi met President Ram Nath Kovind to discuss the Lakhimpur Kheri issue and demanded the removal of Ajay Mishra from the post of Minister of State for Home. He claimed that as long as he was in the said post, the investigation could not be fair. Rahul Gandhi also demanded that the investigation should be conducted under the supervision of two sitting judges of the Supreme Court.
