Just before the start of the 2024 Olympics, Lady Gaga arrived in the French capital. The 38-year-old Grammy and Oscar winner has sparked excitement among her fans after being spotted in Paris. On Monday, July 22, she was seen waving and blowing kisses to her admirers in the city. Dressed casually in a baseball cap, sunglasses and a leather jacket, she stood next to her car. A fan also recorded a video of Gaga greeting people from the car’s sunroof, making a heart shape with her hands. Now, the rumours are in the air that she might be performing at the Paris Olympics inauguration ceremony.
For the first time ever, the Opening Ceremony is about to take place outside of a stadium and will be held on the banks of the Seine River that runs through the city, reports Billboard.
Before this too, fans were speculating that Lady Gaga might perform at the Olympic Games after the official social media account of the Olympics had dropped a hint about a special guest. They shared a short clip teasing a performer at the 2024 Opening Ceremony, which will be held on Friday, July 26.
Olympics shared a video featuring a person in disguise that many thought to be the 13-time Grammy winner. In the clip, a hooded figure fastens their metallic belt and wraps a large flag with the ancient sporting event’s logo on it around their shoulders as a cape. “You haven’t seen anything yet. See you on 26 July,” the text in the video reads.
After being spotted by her fans and greeting them, Lady Gaga and her partner Michael Polansky were reportedly spotted making their way quickly out of their car as they arrived back at the hotel.
Even if we keep her rumoured Olympics performance aside, Gaga is going to be quite busy in the coming few months. She is closing in on the release of her latest film Joker: Folie à Deux, in which she plays Harley Quinn. It is the sequel to 2019’s Joker and will be released on October 4 this year. She has also recently shared that she is working on her seventh studio album.
